When you use this site, you're agreeing to our Privacy Policy, so make sure you're on board with it! If you disagree, you won't be able to use Photofeeler. 🥺

Also, our policy might change occasionally, so if you continue using Photofeeler (the site or the app) after those changes, you accept any updates we make.

1. What information do we collect?

When you register, vote on photos, or test them, we collect a few bits of info to provide and improve our service. This is outside of your photos, of course!

We may collect:

You may optionally provide us with occupation-related information when adding a context label to Business images in which you are the photo subject.

Additionally, if you register using Facebook or LinkedIn, you may be asked for information specific to your Facebook or LinkedIn account. Facebook or LinkedIn will list this information so that you can accept or deny those requests at the time of registration.

2. What do we use your information for?

We use your email to contact you regarding your account and send periodic emails. If you don’t want to hear our photo tips or stay connected with us, you can opt out anytime. (But we will miss you.)

Besides that, your name, gender, and birth date/year help us personalize your experience, ensure that the correct photos are shown to the correct users, and improve the product.

Any actions performed on Photofeeler are collected and retained as a core function of providing and maintaining our service. These actions may be used without identifying information to make Photofeeler even better than it is now (if that’s possible). 😉

3. Deletion of personal data

If you think you’re going to come back to us (and they always do), consider keeping your profile in purgatory instead of deleting it for good. 💔

Some data, like your feedback on others' photos, will stay after account deletion to maintain the service for others.

If this is goodbye, please review our account deletion details.

4. We don't disclose info to outside parties unless you request

On the off chance that Elon Musk acquires Photofeeler—or in any other merger or acquisition scenario—your public and private information will follow suit with the sole purpose of delivering the purchased service requested, aka photo feedback.

This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating Photofeeler, conducting business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential.

We may also release your information when we believe it is appropriate, such as: to comply with the law, enforce site policies, or protect our or others' rights, property, or safety.

5. How we protect your information

We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information, such as secure HTTP connections and mandatory logins, amongst additional database best practices.

We don’t store any sensitive/credit information. All of this is done through our payment processors, e.g. Stripe and Paypal.

6. What is our use of cookies?

Besides eating them for a snack, we use session ID cookies that last only while you’re visiting Photofeeler. We also employ persistent cookies (also known as local storage devices) for login and security. Most browsers have these enabled by default, but you may also disable cookies yourself in your browser settings. However, most features may not work if you block cookies.

Furthermore, Photofeeler uses cookies and local storage devices to ensure security and provide you with the requested features. Cookie use typically falls into three categories:

Sometimes, the feature you choose, such as Facebook login, may allow a third party to place cookies or local storage devices on your computer. The third party who places cookies on your device is responsible for how they process their data, and we recommend that you read their privacy policies too!

As with everything, our use of cookies and local share devices, including the specific cookie names, may change over time.
